Monitoring

The Monitor page gives one view of every scheduled and running Task, whichever platform or cloud it runs on. Instead of checking each service's own console, you see what is scheduled, what is waiting, what is running and what failed, side by side.

Monitor is available to users with the Operator role or higher.

Dashboards

Dashboard What it answers
Scheduler Status What is scheduled, and when will it run next?
Task Dispatcher Status What is running now, what is waiting, and why?
Task Execution What happened to each run?
Scheduler Analytics How are my Tasks trending over time?
Usage & Billing How much of my plan have I used this period?

Scheduler Status

Lists every active schedule with its Task, cron expression, previous and next fire time, and the schedule's time zone.

Task Dispatcher Status

Shows the Dispatcher's health and its live workload:

  • Running tasks — what is executing right now.
  • Queue — runs waiting to start, with their priority, how long they have been waiting, and what they are blocked by (for example a contention profile at its limit, or dependencies that are not yet met).
  • Contention profiles — the profiles in use and their limits.

Task Execution

The run history for every Task:

  • Date range presets, filtering, search and sorting.
  • Group runs by Task, with each group's success rate and average duration.
  • Open a run to see its input and output parameters, and the error message if it failed.
  • Retry chain — when a run was retried, a stepper shows the original run and each retry attempt in order.
  • Dependency overlay — for a run that is part of a dependency chain, the dependency graph is shown with each Task coloured by its status in that execution, with zoom, fit-to-screen and refresh controls.
  • Cancel a run that is still triggered, queued or running.

Scheduler Analytics

Trends over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom range:

  • Headline totals such as success rate and average duration.
  • Daily run trend.
  • Performance of the top Tasks, including average duration.
  • The Tasks that run most often.
  • Schedule contention — times when many schedules fire together.

Usage & Billing

Shows how many task runs your organisation has used in the current billing period against your plan.

Refresh and time zones

The Scheduler, Dispatcher and Task Execution dashboards refresh automatically every 30 seconds, and Scheduler Analytics every 60 seconds. Use the pause/resume toggle to stop automatic refresh while you investigate — your choice is remembered in this browser — or the Refresh button to update on demand.

Times are shown in your browser's time zone.

Tips

  • If a run sits in the queue, check blocked by on the Task Dispatcher Status dashboard before changing anything.
  • Use the dependency overlay on a failed child run to see which parent run released it and what that parent's outcome was.
  • The Copilot can summarise scheduler analytics for you — see Polysync Copilot.
